About

Hi, I’m Florence Stewart, the voice behind Perfumediaa.

Florence Stewart

If you love perfume, soft scents, cozy DIY projects, and little rituals that make everyday life feel special, you’re in the right place. This space is where I share everything I know about perfumes, essential oils, and homemade fragrance recipes—all in a way that feels simple, fun, and approachable.

Perfumediaa started as a personal passion project. I wanted a place where I could talk about scent the way people talk about cooking or baking. Something warm. Something creative. Something personal.

Most people think perfumes only come from big luxury brands. But the truth is, beautiful scents can start right at home.

That belief is the heart of this website.

My Story

I grew up in the United States in a home where fragrance was part of daily life.

Not in a fancy or expensive way. It was simple. Natural. Handmade.

My mother loved essential oils. She kept small glass bottles in a wooden box in our kitchen cabinet. Lavender, rose, sandalwood, orange peel, peppermint—each one had its own smell and its own story.

When I was young, I used to sit next to her at the table while she mixed oils into small roller bottles. She would explain what each scent did.

Lavender for calm.
Peppermint for focus.
Rose for comfort.

Sometimes we made linen sprays for our bedsheets. Other times we made small perfume blends for family gifts.

At the time, I didn’t realize those little moments were teaching me something special.

But they were.

They were teaching me that scent is personal.

A Different Kind of Path

As I got older, my life moved in a slightly different direction.

In my early twenties, I started doing small modeling jobs. Nothing huge or celebrity-level—mostly local fashion shoots, boutique brands, and lifestyle photography. It was fun, creative work, and it helped me explore my love for style and beauty.

Modeling also introduced me to the world of luxury fragrances.

During shoots, stylists and makeup artists always carried designer perfumes. I remember being fascinated by how different each scent felt.

Some smelled bold and confident.
Some felt soft and romantic.
Some smelled clean and fresh like a quiet morning.

But something always stood out to me.

Many of those perfumes smelled beautiful… yet complicated.

And sometimes I would think back to the simple blends my mother made at home.

That contrast stayed with me.

Falling in Love with DIY Fragrance

A few years ago, I decided to revisit what my mom had taught me.

I bought a few small bottles of essential oils. Just the basics.

Lavender
Vanilla
Bergamot
Rose
Jasmine

I started experimenting again at my kitchen table, just like we used to do when I was younger.

At first, the blends were simple.

A lavender roller perfume.
A vanilla body oil.
A citrus room spray.

But something amazing happened.

Friends began asking about them.

Then friends of friends started asking too.

People wanted to know:

How did you make this?
What oils did you use?
Can I try making it myself?

That curiosity is what eventually led me to create Perfumediaa.

Why I Started Perfumediaa

I realized there wasn’t enough beginner-friendly information online about making perfume at home.

Many guides felt overly technical. Some used complicated chemistry terms. Others skipped important steps.

I wanted something different.

I wanted a place where anyone—especially women who love creative DIY projects—could learn to make their own fragrances without feeling overwhelmed.

That’s exactly what Perfumediaa is about.

Here, you’ll find:

• Homemade perfume recipes
• Essential oil blends
• DIY fragrance ideas
• Natural scent tips
• Beginner perfume guides
• Simple beauty rituals

Everything is written in a clear, friendly way, because I believe fragrance should be enjoyable—not intimidating.

The Meaning Behind the Name “Perfumediaa”

The name Perfumediaa came from two ideas I loved.

Perfume — the art of scent and fragrance creation.
Media — a place where knowledge, ideas, and creativity are shared.

Perfumediaa is meant to be a creative library of scent inspiration.

Not just one recipe or one guide, but a growing collection of fragrance ideas anyone can explore.

Think of it as a place where scent lovers can discover:

• New perfume blends
• DIY fragrance projects
• Essential oil knowledge
• Creative scent inspiration

All in one place.

What You’ll Find on This Website

Perfumediaa is built for readers who love beauty, creativity, and simple DIY projects.

Many of my readers come from Pinterest, where inspiration spreads fast and ideas turn into real projects.

Because of that, I design many recipes to be:

• Beginner friendly
• Easy to follow
• Budget friendly
• Pinterest-inspired
• Beautiful and practical

Here are some of the main topics you’ll find here.

This is the heart of Perfumediaa.

These include:

Essential Oil Blends

Essential oils are powerful tools for fragrance creation.

On this website, I share blends designed for different moods and uses, such as:

• Relaxing bedtime blends
• Romantic floral scents
• Fresh citrus perfumes
• Cozy winter fragrances
• Uplifting daytime scents

I also explain why certain oils work well together, which helps readers create their own blends later.

DIY Beauty and Scent Projects

Fragrance isn’t just for perfumes.

You can use scent in many parts of everyday life.

Some DIY projects you’ll see here include:

• Linen sprays
• Body oils
• Bath salts
• Room sprays
• Natural fragrance mists

These projects are perfect for readers who enjoy creative home beauty routines.

Many readers are completely new to perfume making.

That’s why I include guides that explain things like:

• How perfume notes work
• The difference between top, middle, and base notes

These guides help beginners build confidence before trying more advanced blends.

My Philosophy About Fragrance

One thing I always remind readers is this:

Perfume should feel personal.

A scent that feels perfect for one person may not feel right for someone else—and that’s okay.

That’s actually the beauty of making fragrance at home.

When you create your own perfumes, you can adjust everything.

More vanilla.
Less citrus.
A stronger floral note.

You become the creator of your own signature scent.

That freedom is something I truly love.

Inspired by Pinterest Creativity

Many readers discover Perfumediaa through Pinterest.

Pinterest is an incredible place for visual inspiration, especially for creative hobbies like DIY fragrance making.

Because of that, many of my ideas start with visual inspiration such as:

• aesthetic perfume bottles
• cozy self-care rituals
• minimalist beauty routines
• natural wellness projects

I design many recipes and guides so they can easily turn into Pinterest-friendly ideas readers can save, try, and share.

Keeping Things Simple and Real

One promise I always try to keep with readers is this:

I don’t believe in overcomplicating things.

Perfumery can become very technical in professional labs, but home fragrance creation should stay fun and approachable.

That’s why I focus on:

• easy ingredients
• simple instructions
• clear explanations
• beginner-friendly recipes

You don’t need expensive equipment or rare oils to create something beautiful.

Sometimes the best perfumes come from just three or four ingredients blended with care.

A Community of Scent Lovers

Perfumediaa isn’t just about me.

It’s about a growing community of people who love fragrance and creativity.

Many readers send messages sharing:

• their first homemade perfume
• blends they created from my guides
• questions about essential oils
• ideas for future recipes

Seeing readers experiment with scent and build confidence in DIY fragrance is one of my favorite parts of running this site.
